I Can Form Numbers Without You!
As with letter formation is is vital that children know starting and exit points, so that when they want to form letters and numbers they do not form habits that are then difficult to change.
If you do not show them the formation they will try to copy letters and numbers but without understanding the sequence.
Understanding the 'flow' of the number or letter also helps brains in other ways that I will go into another time.
Use the number formation phrases and have the visual somewhere accessible: see it, hear it, replicate it.
